Moisturizing Hand Creams

Day 321.
Moisturizing Hand Creams

I recently was given a couple of Avon hand creams...very appropriate since my hands get dry working with protective gloves as I'm creating with plastic and molds. I was pleasantly impressed with how moisturizing these hand creams were. I suppose with a name like Moisture Therapy it could have been expected, but in this case the product really lived up to it's name.

Of course I had to check out the labels. Yea! Made in the USA!

Mold Rubber

Day 320.
Mold Rubber

In keeping with yesterday's theme about plastic casting I wanted to share my plans to try out a new mold rubber. I make molds from all different liquid silicone and rubber options. We've already discussed mold putty on this blog (I am a big fan of that product, it's very user friendly). Yesterday while shopping I came across a different product from the same company. It's Amazing Mold Rubber...

My goal is to make some three dimensional holiday ornaments this year and I think this is the perfect product to create some new, more intricate molds. And of course...

Pretty Powdered Pigments

Day 319.
Pretty Powdered Pigments

I enjoy plastic casting (remember the Christmas ornaments we made a few months back?), but up until now I have had trouble finding a pigment that I liked to work with so my main source of color for my plastic creations was glitter. Well, I stumbled upon one that has been very easy to use and gives excellent opaque results. Here are some powdered pigments by PearlEx that I am really pleased with...

And they are made in the USA!

Time to get creative!

Missing the Princess

Day 318.
Missing the Princess

We had a loss in our family this week and so during the course of services and arrangements I've had my niece, an adorable two year old (nearly three), staying at my house for the past few days. This morning she and her father flew back home leaving a second absence in my heart. She is a little princess, so that led me to look for adorable princess dresses made in the USA. Here's one that I think she would like...

Although it is not an easy time I take comfort in the fact that we have wonderful family surrounding us including this sweet little girl.

More From Wyoming - Glass Belt Buckles

Day 317.
More From Wyoming - Glass Belt Buckles

I found several variations on this same kind of design, but here is a very clever glass belt buckle with a design of significance to the people living in this part of Wyoming...

Very neat!

Good luck Rebecca Podio!

For anyone following along thinking "you missed three girls in the pageant" I'll say you are right, but I certainly wish them well also. For the blog I decided to focus on an item from each of the 50 states and wish good luck to that state's contestant in the upcoming Miss America pageant, but I would be remiss to not also wish good luck to the represenatatives from the District of Columbia - Bindu Pamarthi, Puerto Rico - Shenti Lauren and Virgin Islands - Ashley Massiah. And at the time I posted about Arkansas that state had not yet picked it's winner, so I will also say a belated good luck Amy Crain!
